Any ideas on how we can get more members to liven this place up? I tried posting on all of the SSPU spages on FB, on YouTube if I post a link it shows up as SPAM, and doesn't print it. I added it to all of the search engines, and still we are way down on new members from what I am used to. My board for the band Garbage, got over 100 members in the first two weeks. It was over 1,100 members, but we cleaned out a bunch of unused, or un-activated accounts. So now it is at around 1,000 members.

Have you tried MySpace? I don't know how many people actually use it anymore, but for those who do, it might work. Just post a link in a comment on SSPU's page. Not sure how well it will work but it's an idea.

Yeah, I guess it's a try. On FB, I haven't posted links on the members personal pages. I think that would be a little tacky. As for MySpace, I check my page there once a month or so. I think I had 500+ friends there. FB seems so more personable for some reason. I know actually most of the 100+ friends I have there. The others are from my Garbage message board that I interact with once in a while there. 30+ are actually relatives of mine, that I found. Most seem to care less about SSPU. Oh well. *disowns family* LOL

OK, just dropped by the MS SSPU page. All comments need to be approved. Now who approves them. That is the question. Chris, said he used to run the FB SSPU page. Now the label does the FB page updates, and the band tweets in their adds for the posts. Oh well. It's MS. They can delete me as a friends there if they want. I know QPrime knows we are here, so it's worth a shot. Here goes nothing. *Dan puts on SPAMming gear, and goes in for the kill on MySpace*

Good luck on the quest for new members. Yes, I think posting on the personal pages would be a little tacky. Maybe you cou do the fake Brian page though. Just a thought.

I will, see if he "officially boycotts" another fan page that might interfere with his fan page. BTW, Chris was online a couple times today. No reply. I guess I got shined on. Oh well.

Well, there is one consolation prize. The SSPU Myspace page did add this boards URL. Not clickable, but at least it is there in the comments. www.myspace.com/silversunpickups

I'm quite good at photoshop. I could make you some banners and what not to ask to put on other sites. And you can keep putting the link up on the SSPU facebook page, and on their myspace comments. Try and get mature fans who can spell though. And not little girls who are unable to type correctly, which we seem to be getting... >.>

I've tried the banner thing. You may get a few. But most people don't click banners thinking they are ads. Which they are, just for sites, not products.
